📖 Common Medication Dosages (Vet-Prescribed Ranges)
These are only for reference. Always follow YOUR VET's exact prescription.
- Carprofen: 2.2 mg/kg once or twice daily (or 4.4 mg/kg once daily)
- Metronidazole: 10–25 mg/kg twice daily
- Gabapentin: 5–15 mg/kg every 8–12 hours
- Prednisone: 0.5–2 mg/kg once or twice daily (tapering doses)
- Benadryl: 1–2 mg/kg every 8 hours (max ~50mg per dose)
- Meloxicam: 0.1–0.2 mg/kg once daily
Note: Some medications (like Apoquel) are weight-based tablets — you may only give part of a tablet.
